KAR has its own laboratory in Hamar which performs more than 20.000 analyses every year.
In our laboratory, we analyse precious metal content, alloy composition, purity, and contaminants and include analytical methods such as Inductively Coupled Plasma spectrometry that can analyse 70 different elements. We also use LECO which is oxygen analysis in metals and alloys, titration (silver analysis), and coupling (gold analysis). The laboratory is equipped with hand-held x-ray instruments and we perform physical metallurgical data with hardness testing, tensile testing, and microscopy.
Analysis certificates can be designed and include desired items at the customer’s request.
